I tell ya, there's gold in them thar files!

As I should have expected, no sooner did I announce the gold code than I had to change it...

There is a newer build on the web site (you'll need to download the EasyObjects10.zip file), but I'm afraid it isn't done changing yet. I discovered some missing dOOdads functionality, so I had to put that in.

And now, much to my dismay, I have a customer that is threatening to pull EO out of development if it doesn't support reading the connect string from the web.config file instead of the Enterprise Library's dataConfiguration.config file. I argued with them on this, but I understand their reasons and they are valid.

This is actually a hot topic of interest in the Enterprise Library forums, because some folks would really like to build their connection strings on the fly, including techniques like prompting the user for their login information. This is a very valid scenario, and it's hard to believe the EntLib team didn't consider it. But they say it is possible to do, you just have to trick the DAAB into thinking it's reading from the config file and instead feed it your own config information.

(A quick Google search turned up this: http://www.pnplive.com/Askpnp/askpnp16-May-2005.htm

I was originally planning to have this in the next version, but it looks like circumstances force me to add it now. On the bright side, the help file is nearly done. If I can get this new feature and the help done before I go on vacation Friday, I will go ahead and release.
