NHibernate Users ?

k-dub's 'NHibernate Object Mapping' template has been download 1,420 times. I wonder if there are any NHibernate folks using MyGeneration to generate their architecture?

My guess is there are improved templates out there that somebody could share ....

My company uses NHibernate with files generated by MyGeneration. The template we use is based on k-dub's template, but with a fair number of changes and improvements.

I've been given permission to contribute our version of the template, but I'm having some trouble figuring out how best to publish it in the template library. Is there any way to make it somehow associated with k-dub's template, so that it's clear they're related?

Excellent. Make sure you do these two things first. In MyGeneration go to your template properties section. Make sure you give it a namespace of say 'NHibernate' and it will show up grouped with Kdubs when users hit the \"globe\" icon. Also, you might press the \"New Guid\" button because that must be unique to upload it. Make sure it's not named the same (filename) as kdubs too just in case.

  • Register on the template library
  • Choose 'Upload New Template' and upload it
  • Then choose 'Build Template Archive'
  • Switch to the 'Rich HTML Editor'

At this point you can write about your template and you also need to select your template in the tempaltes listbox. You can also add a URL to kdubs template to associate in the write-up portion of things. Use the url to associate it.

We would be very grateful and are going to highlight certain architectures soon so you're will be included.

Ok, I did that.

Note also that user yotta published another modification of k-dub's template just before mine went up. Looking at his, it seems to add composite id support. Interesting.

I added a post in the http://nhibernate.sourceforge.net/forum/ in the \"Related Projects\" section. Hope you don't mind.

Yeah, I saw that. It's no problem, of course. :)
