Did you consider a bug tracker?

Although I think forums are great for providing support and creating a community, I don't think they are ideal for tracking bugs and enhancements for existing templates and with MyGeneration itself.

Did you consider moving such issues to a bugtracker?

I'm the admin for Mantis Bugtracker (http://www.mantisbt.org). If you end up choosing to go with a bugtracker and with Mantis, then I 'd be happy to set it up for you (although it should be easy to set it up yourself).

Yes, I really need them, it's incredible hard to track this stuff, 90% of the bug post in our defect forum turn out not to be bugs. Anyway, I will look at the bug tracking system.

I think you need a dOOdads FAQ page. Examples are good, but sometimes someone may not get as far as being able to run them (due to missing/incorrect drivers, or permissions not being set properly).

In Mantis we use the following:
- website
- manual
- ability for users to submit notes on manual pages.
- bugtracker
- forums
- wiki (for developers)
- faq
- blog / news
- rss feeds
- mailing lists
- irc

I think they are all useful components for running a project and creating a community around it.
